Crowned Child Intermedia was founded in 1999 by Richard Gallahad. Originally based in Penzance, in the South West of the UK, the business began life offering online advertising to hotels and restaurants in the town of Marazion, which was the main focus of the media during that year's solar eclipse. This collection of web ads soon grew into a full tourist guide and continues to exist today as The Marazion Guide.

Building from this foundation, a more extensive web design service emerged, which included high quality web hosting and domain registration services. The web design business was largely targeted at small firms in West Cornwall, however quite soon CCI gained contracts with larger organizations and companies across the UK and abroad.

During these initial years, CCI continued to exist as a part-time venture, while Richard studied journalism at Falmouth College of Arts (now the Combined University of Cornwall). As a consequence, the nature of the business began to broaden, with other aspects of media production being introduced.

In 2003 we relocated to the Southern Spanish province of Cadiz, where we began to develop the extensive collection of services that make the business today a comprehensive, one-stop resource for all your media and promotional needs.

In 2005 Richard studied for the Trinity Cert. TESOL qualification at the European Language Centre in Seville, and CCI incorporated English and Business English training. This in turn led to business projects emerging globally, and subsequently a new range of language services were incorporated into CCI's weaponry.

However, the core of Crowned Child remains firmly in Intermedia. Why 'Intermedia'? The word was coined to reflect the variety of media formats connected with the Age of the Internet. And taking seriously our responsibilities to assist our clients in bridging the gap between their product or message and the awareness of the target audience, we consider ourselves to be the intermediaries who can make the difference.

2006 brought the opportunity for further expansion around the globe, as the company expanded into China. Then in 2008 our focus was turned toward Turkey in readiness for the country's joining of the European Union.

From our humble beginnings in Marazion, Crowned Child Intermedia has become a truly international venture, with an extensive team of creative and technical talent based over 4 continents.
